Near Milford on the Delaware Bay is Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge -- the largest sanctuary for migratory birds on the East Coast and a key destination for birdwatchers from around the globe.
The
Bird's Nest Suite is located on the third floor. It is often used as our
honeymoon suite. The Victorian double bed has a beautifully carved
walnut head and footboard. There are two sitting areas, one with a faux
fireplace. A modern bathroom (with shower) is located within the suite.
The rate is $150 per night.
Appropriate for a honeymoon suite, the Bird's Nest is decorated with prints of Raphael's puti (cherubs), a daguerreotype of a little girl, a 19th century painting of a mother sheltering her two infants and a fetching statue of a nude with parrots-sculpted by an Austrian and discovered by the Bonds in Cape Town, South Africa.
